<p><strong>1. Blot, don't scrub</strong><br />
Never scrub or rub abrasively your carpet, this can cause a fuzzy area on the carpet which could outlast the carpet stain. Instead, scoop up as much of the spill as possible then continue to blot any residue with a clean white cloth or paper towel.</p>

<p><strong>2. Blot from outside in</strong><br />
Always work from the outer edge of the carpet stain towards the centre. This will avoid spreading the stain to a wider area.</p>

<p><strong>3. Get to it as quickly as possible</strong><br />
Get to any spills as quickly as possible to prevent the stain from penetrating into the carpet fibres, this is what leads to discolouration and marks. Hot liquids especially can be difficult to remove once cooled.</p>

<p><strong>4. Try warm water</strong><br />
Most common carpet stains caused by household food and beverage (not containing strong dyes) can be treated with warm water (not hot) applied to the carpet stain immediately. Dampen a clean cloth with the warm water and blot it onto the carpet, working from the outside in, until the stain disappears.</p>

<p>If you have a triexta carpet from our <a href="https://www.feltex.com/au/brands/redbook-green">Redbook green</a> range, cold water will work just fine. For more stubborn stains, consult the <a href="https://res.cloudinary.com/gh/image/upload/v1659939491/brands/redbook-green/docs/redbook_green/brochure.pdf">care guide</a>'s stain removal section.</p>

<p><strong>5. Carpet stain removal mix for wool carpet</strong><br />
If the water and clean cloth is not lifting the stain, try these recipes for the best carpet stain remover for wool or synthetic carpet. Again, this is for common household spills, if you have a more stubborn stain, look at your carpet's care guide's stain removal section. Just use this mix with a clean cloth, as you did with the warm water, dabbing from the outside in.</p>

<p><strong>6. Carpet stain removal</strong><br />
If you have determined that your carpet stain is more than your average spill, use your carpet's care guide's stain removal section to determine the most appropriate method.</p>

<p><strong>7. Test it first</strong><br />
Pre-test the stain removal treatment on a small, less conspicuous area of carpet to make sure it doesn't damage or change the carpet colour.</p>

<p><strong>8. Press the carpet dry between treatments</strong><br />
Press dry the carpet with a clean white towel or paper towel to remove excess moisture between any steps in the cleaning process.</p>

<p><strong>9. Dry the carpet</strong><br />
Once the spill has been treated, place a few layers of paper towel or white cloth over the area and weigh it down with a couple of heavy books, an upturned coffee table or something heavy that won't transfer colour. This will absorb any residual moisture.</p>

<p><strong>10. Don't walk on the carpet until it's dry</strong><br />
Cover the mark with a chair or coffee table, make sure no one walks on the carpet until it is completely dry. Even once it is dry to touch the pad underneath may still be damp, keep it free from foot traffic as long as possible. A hairdryer and also speed up the drying process, but be sure not to overheat the area and scorch your carpet.</p>

<p><strong>11. Remember, don't rub and don't scrub</strong><br />
You see how important it is that you blot and don't scrub? It's so important we mentioned it twice!</p>

<p><strong>12. Call the professionals</strong><br />
If the carpet stain isn't removed after treatment, it's time to give the professional carpet cleaners a call.</p>

Fractals are the building blocks of many of nature’s patterns and have been scientifically proven to reduce stress and so provide benefits to physical health. This visual language is the basis for Relaxing Floors, a modular system designed by 13&9 in collaboration with Fractals Research and Mohawk Group. Relaxing Floors is the culmination of art, science and human-centered design based on fractal patterns. Change your perspective with Visual Edge, a new take on a hierarchy and structure that creates a flowing graphic pattern derived from nature. 
This biophilic hexagonal design comes in two plank styles that layer elements and change scale to guide you through space, similarly to a bird's eye view of the ground below. 
Patterns in a space can shrink or grown in scale to adjust to the changing formats of space in the built environment. 


Visual Edge

Optic Reset is a modular carpet collection that consists of two mid-scale Field of View patterns, and coordinating texture – Shifted Focus, both of which have been created using elements from photography, illustration, and graphic design. Using positive and negative space, creating tonal shifts, and pushing boundaries of abstracted subject matter, Optic Reset allows you to create your own visual narratives with dual styles in shifting colourways of light and dark. The visuals give us cues for our other senses, and they are how we understand the world. And with Optic Reset, interior space can be created with subtle or dramatic views on the floor. 

This concept is illustrative of The Visual Age, where there is visual literacy and creative democracy for all, and we have become fluent in the elements of graphics, photography, design, and art. Social media especially has influenced this, allowing for self-expression and creativity to come together to unite us with a sense of purpose on our collective path.
